Do any kids this age really take naps anymore? its like a 15% chance that i will get even one of my kids to take a nap. To be honest, i need the break, I need the quiet and that little hour of nap helps me have some peace and quiet to shower or clean. I feel like i cant get anything done with both my kids running around all day. My daughter will be 5 next month and my son just turned 3...is it time i give up on naps or do most kids this age still take them? i feel bad making them sit in their room trying to fall asleep just so that i can load the dang dishwasher or shower!

Jo'el takes a nap almost every day and even on the weekends. If he doesnt its no big deal but I would rather him take one. It gives me a break and he gets some rest. I think I will stop making him take a nap at 5. That is a good age for me. He functions so much better when he has a nap.

Jo'el hates to take a nap but once his head hits the pillow he is out!!!

naps have become a huge battle for me and it just keeps getting harder. i need a break during the day, especially now that i'm 8 months pregnant and not getting even 20 minutes alone is making me lose my mind. when my kids don't nap the day just seems to drag on forever and i have no patients with them by the end of the day. i just don't know how to force them to nap! i know they still need to nap because its a big difference on the days they do nap and on the days they don't! i really need help with this!
