School

Is your little one in school yet? What do they have to know before starting school? I have heard that they need to know how to write their name. Is this true? What else do they need to know?

Jo'el started his first class today and he did great. He has never been in a class before and has always been home with me. So I was really nervous about it bc he was scared. but half way into the class he was fine with me just sitting with some of the other moms in the back of the room. And he is really excited to go again.

Its just a few classes that i have enrolled him in at our parks and rec over here. I think its going to help with him paying attention and get him ready for school. The next session Im getting him into a child development class that is 2 1/2 hours and is like preschool and also a cooking class. Right now he is in a sing and dance along class which is on tuesdays and an exploration class on thurs which is a science class.

tyler will start school this coming school year. i dont believe they have to know anything to start school. i think they automatically enroll into kindergarden but then need to know some certain stuff to be able to move onto 1st grade.

Well jo'el is in preschool now and is loving every minute of it. Its sooo cool to see him enjoy it and learn so much. He will be in preschool unitl the 2009 school year. So he will be very ready for kindergarden.
